Security and trust

What we do to protect the accuracy of your books and the privacy of your data, stated plainly.

Your business's data is separated in the database
Every record belongs to one business, and the database itself only returns a business's records to its own members. This does not depend on the screen you are looking at.
Roles are enforced by the database
A sales employee cannot read the journal or the purchase side, an auditor cannot change anything, and only the owner can manage the team or close a year. These rules are in the database, so they hold whatever screen or request is used.
Posted entries are permanent
A posted journal entry cannot be edited or deleted. A mistake is corrected by a reversing entry, so the trail from every figure to its source stays complete.
An activity log nobody can rewrite
Postings, reversals and month locks are recorded with who did them and when. The log can be added to but not changed.
Month locks
The owner can lock a finished month so no entry can be dated into it, and unlocking needs a reason that is recorded.
AI proposes, people approve
The assistant can only draft. An entry reaches your books after a person approves it, and it goes through the same checks as an entry you typed yourself.
Numbers you can rely on
Amounts are kept in exact cents. Every figure the Bot quotes is checked against your books before you see it, and a figure that does not match is not shown.
Receipt photos and voice
A receipt photo is read for that one request and not stored. LedgerAI does not receive or keep voice audio.
Your records are yours
The owner can download the business's records at any time.

We do not claim any security certification or audit report. Our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service are drafts pending legal review.
